Luis Rodriguez, chef/owner, celebrates 71 Saint Peter's 14th anniversary in historic San Pedro Square, downtown San Jose. Chef Rodriguez continues the tradition that has brought national acclaim to St Peter; hearty creative food, warm atmosphere, and personal service. Luis was one of three founding partners, which included Mark Tabak and Armand Tiano. Mark and Armand have recently moved on to pursue other interests, leaving Lois to carry on their fine tradition. Well, they haven't completely left. Luis has continued to enjoy the benefit of his former partner's expertise ever since the change in ownership was official. |

Chef Mark Tabak, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, has permanently influenced 71 with his philosophy to cook legacy straightforward dishes -- not to alter food too much, but instead to let the natural flavors come through. Armand Tiano, who developed the exceptional dining room staff and warm ambience, brought a rich history of both American and European restaurant management to 71 Saint Peter. He always emphasized the importance creating the whole picture - seeing beyond the menu and wine lists to create a memorable dining experience for each guest. Luis insures that Armand's passion for fine dining is evident every day for every guest. With the support of a highly professional crew, Owner/Chef Luis Rodriguez continues to build on 71 Saint Peter reputation for consistently serving creative food with attentive, but non-intrusive, service.
